Our town, Chichibu

Located about 60km northeast of Tokyo, Chichibu is a town rich in nature.
Most of the land is not flat nor well-drained, so it is not fit to grow rice, the staple food in Japan.
In exchange, the environment is very suitable for growing strong mulberry trees,
leading to the expansion of sericulture in the area since olden times.
